Villa beata.jpg

Villa Beata was founded on Insula Beata by Quegan refugees from the revolt of Lord Vax. It was built in a dell between two hills.

It had a central building and court with a fountain adorned with 3 dolphins. Storerooms, stables and kitchens were around it.

The palace was a hollow square with an inner garden; A large anteroom separated the garden from the front of the house. It had several rooms like the trepidarium where servants washed the guests' clothes, the calidarium with hot baths and frigidarium with cold baths and the unctorium, where servants would rub down the bathers with scented oils.
