On Midkemia, the Kingdom of the Isles and perhaps other humans as well use a calendar of 11 irregular months, totaling in 200 days.
The first day of the year is Banapis (Midsummer's Day), a day outside of normal months and which also is considered everyone's "birthday". Also, Mid-Winter day belongs to no month. Both Midsummer and Midwinter day are considered individual months.

The calendar was designed for the original Midkemia RPG's developed by Midkemia Press. Feist has acknowledged that he doesn't follow the calendar in his novels, sometimes leading to "mistakes" being seen in the books. No attempt has been made to set a standard calendar within the books, though it has been considered. It is not seen as a critical detail at the moment. For details, see the Talk:Calendar page.
