Sailor's Grief is a rocky pinnacle visible to the south from the shores of Crydee. During storms it is not uncommon for ships to become wrecked upon the rocks.
Sailor's Grief is located somewhere between the lighthouse at Longpoint, at the entrance to Crydee harbour and the southern keep at Carse.
It was said that disappointed boys fell from there in their day of Choosing, when no craftsman picked them for apprenticeship.
It is at Sailor's Grief that the Tsurani ship runs aground at the beginning of the Riftwar.
