Lord Paul ruled White Hill at the start of the Riftwar through an ancient title given before the northern colonies were abandoned by the Empire of Great Kesh. He had one daughter named Anika. His personal bodyguard was Hamish. The estate was built using stone cut by the father of Dirk, the youngest servant of the estate.
Considered the wealthiest man in Walinor, Lord Paul had ships working in the Bitter Sea, property throughout the west, and investments in both the Empire of Great Kesh and the Kingdom of the Isles. He had also done business with Duke Borric through the Duke's agent in Bordon, Talbott Kilrane. Once, he was sent to the General Council of Electors of the Free Cities of Natal as the town delegate.
When the Tsurani arrive to take over White Hill in the second Spring of the Riftwar, Lord Paul met their demands of surrunder to ensure the survival of those living and working at the estate. Rumors amongst the residents were that he only handed over part of his wealth, hiding the rest in secret locations within the estate home. He was killed during a late night attack on the estate late that winter.
