James "Jimmy" Jamison was the older son of Arutha Jamison, son of Jimmy the Hand. Eventually Jimmy becomes Duke of Krondor. Has a falling out with his younger brother, Dashel Jamison (who becomes the new Upright Man of the Mockers), in later years.
He had two sons: Dasher Jamison and William Jamison (who both died in border wars with Kesh). William Jamison had a son, named James Dasher Jamison.
